Our mission is to:

• Evolve culturally compatible strategies  and tools, to be used, to reorient the local community including the agencies of governance and development,
• Undertake capacity  building initiatives for the different segments of the society to enable them undertake relevant initiatives,
• Try and initiate number of action research and niche programs at micro levels and test their efficacy and relevance,
• Build collaboration with the local agencies including state agencies of governance and development and share with them the outcome of the micro initiatives and niche programs in order to upscale the successful initiatives and integrate them into the state policies,
• Design and use various strategies for lobbying and advocacy  to disseminate the learning CDHI acquires in the course of its experimentation and micro-initiatives,
• Facilitate institutional development to anchor people’s initiatives and actions and help them evolve into effective institutions by facilitating capacity building strategies and tools as well as appropriate linkages.
